Wernigerode Museum for Aviation and Technology
A nice museum that mainly focuses on aviation. The most beautiful piece was actually a self-made plane with a ... trabant engine! BAM!
The museum has (approximately) 50 different aircraft / helicopters in a very neat environment. Almost too neat to be honest, but that's a matter of taste.
But let's be honest ... isn't this pretty! I had never encountered this color scheme in the wild and it suits him very well to be honest.
In addition to all the aircraft, they also have a very nice collection of cockpits, ejection seats and other parts, including a unique collection of WW2 stuff. We had not encountered this before to this extent and together with a great description of what it was and what it was used for. And if you don't know… you can always ask a group of very enthusiastic volunteers.
Oh yes .. don't forget to visit the canteen. 🙂 Typical German food and one plate was not enough .. this was plate number 3… lol.
Do enjoy the pictures and if you are looking for more info, see: https://www.luftfahrtmuseum-wernigerode.de/
