In the north of France, in the town of Audinghen, there is a museum that manages the bunker “Todt”. The bunker itself is already a solid appearance ... but the cannon that stands next to it ... that was what mattered to us ... A Krupp K5 cannon, made between 1937 and 1940. It fired a 255 kilo grenade over a distance of almost 70 km. The gun weighs 120 tons and is 32 meters long.

If you want to see something different in La Rochelle… visit the automatons (these are dolls that can move mechanically) and the model museum. From submarine to F1 racing car and from train to castle. When we visited it, it was very quiet, very relaxed and they have a very nice collection. And… we still have the photos. 🙂
In La Rochelle there is a super nice maritime museum : Musée Maritime de La Rochelle. From very cute sailing boats to ships that can go directly to the ocean. Very worthwhile if you are interested in that theme.
